Dina Deleasa Instagram – This crab and leek sauté took me minutes to make and @bgonsar and I both loved it! We sat out in the deck and took a couple of minutes to eat together because Siena unexpectedly fell asleep after a visit to the pool.

It’s buttery and savory, it makes us wish we were at the beach! The simple recipe-ish is below.

Just as fyi- you have to wash leeks really well! Trader Joe’s sells a great shortcut with leeks already trimmed and clean.

3 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
1 cup thinly sliced leeks, trimmed and washed
2 tsp capers
1 1/2 cups crab claw meat
1/4 cup white wine
1 tbsp dijon mustard
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
lemon zest
red pepper flakes (optional)
4 slices sourdough bread

In a large saute pan melt 2 tbsp butter, add in your leeks and capers, saute until softened about 4 minutes, add in the crab gently stir to combine. Saute for 2 minutes more,
In a small bowl mix together the white wine and dijon mustard. Pour over the saute pan, season with salt and pepper, stir gently to combine, saute another 5 minutes. Remove crab meat from pan, set aside.

Add another tablespoon of butter to the pan, place the pieces of bread in the pan browning on each side, about 2 minutes per side. Remove from the pan and cut pieces of bread in half. Divide pieces of bread between the bowls. Top bread with 1/2 cup of crab meat, Top with lemon zest and red pepper flakes for serving. | Posted on 27/Aug/2024 22:35:02
