Drea de Matteo Instagram – From her Brother—-
Happy Veterans Day to everyone, but especially, specifically to my sister! This is a really long post, but this is very important to me. If you’re here on my friends list, than you followed me because you wanna know what’s on my mind. So let me share a story and talk to you about it. Please take a few minutes to read this.
First off, let me tell you just a smidge about my sister Lindy. She’s a badass. Not like the “Oh, she’s really cool.” kinda badass, but like the “She jumps out of helicopters into the ocean, is a weapons specialist in the armed forces, winner of triathlons and skateboard competitions, served overseas in the Army, served in the Coast Guard, insanely great soccer player, surfer, etc…” kinda badass. There’s literally nothing that she couldn’t do. If she really wanted to do something, she’d do it, and she’d probably be better at it than you and me. She’s one of them type of folks. Insanely talented, and insanely ACTIVE. Constantly on the go.
All of this started to change in September of 2021. Being a member of the United States Armed Forces she was mandated to take the COVID-19 shots or she would lose her job. What followed was your literal worst nightmare. A nightmare that people who don’t LIVE with her situation had chosen to classify as “lies”, “misinformation” or whatever else bullshit name the media and the virtue signaling assholes of the world had decided to call it that day. But something very real for so many people like her.
After receiving her shots, her body started breaking down. First, came a weakened immune system and muscle tears from normal activity. This developed into heart palpitations, food intolerances, panic attacks, and terrible reactions to other medicines being given to her to treat the previously mentioned symptoms. Next, she started losing the ability to walk for more than a minute or two at a time without passing out. Constant nausea, dizziness, fatigue, shortness of breath became the new normal if she wanted to do anything on her own that required her to move more than 10 feet from the place she was sitting or laying. Even sitting up causes exhaustion.
