Emily Calandrelli Instagram – For years this group of astronauts have stood by me, supporting my activism while also encouraging my space dreams – even when it was nowhere in sight. I wouldn’t be where I am without them. In a woman’s life there are moments where our girlfriends help us prepare for our big day. Each of these astronauts are preparing me for my big day – when I launch to space. Over the past several months I’ve been planning how to say thank you. They have laughed with me, stressed with me, given me advice on what it’s like to break the sound barrier; we’ve nurtured each other’s dreams and I’m so grateful to call them my astronaut sisters.
