You landlord can make things difficult for you. But Government has made certain laws to protect YOU.

🔷 Acc to Rent Control Act 1948, your Rent Agreement should mention how much rent can be increased and give notice of 3 months before increasing it.
🔷 As per Model Tenancy Act, Landlord cannot ask for more than 3 months of Rent as Deposit. It is fully functional in these states- Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh, Assam
🔷 If there is a disagreement, landlord cannot withhold basic necessities like water supply, electricity etc.
🔷 Landlord cannot enter the flat without your permission.
🚨 But landlord can evict you, if you are not paying rent or paying it late. So its better to pay the rent through your Credit Card on 1st of every month.
