Himani Chowdhary Instagram – They say life begins at 30, but honestly I feel like I’ve lived 5 different lives already
My 20s were a mix of chaos and taking risks
I started post grad in banking, clueless about what “risk management” even meant but soon found myself consulting for Banks and NBFCs at Deloitte. I did that for around 4 years
Stable? Yes. Fulfilling? Not quite. By COVID, I realized it was time to pivot
But to what? I loved teaching, so I cleared UGC NET in three months and considered a PhD until I realized the world of academia wasn’t for me
Too many rules, too little freedom
Boom I got married (2021)
So I had to keep pursuing my PhD and job
Meanwhile, my Instagram content was picking up
That’s when it hit me, teaching doesn’t need to happen in a classroom, why not do it online?
So, I shifted gears, and made research my life (it still is btw)
Along the way, I became AMFI licensed and NISM certified
If you’ll ask me, here’s what I’ve learned by 30:
[1] Nothing is permanent. Jobs, careers, even some relationships – they’re just stepping stones
[2] Don’t stay stuck just because you chose something years ago. Reinvent yourself
[3] Insurance is boring but essential so get it sorted
[4] The big 3- accommodation, transportation and food drain most of your money. Optimize these to save big
[5] If you don’t understand money, get help. Don’t DIY when it comes to wealth
[6] Talk about finances with your partner, it’s awkward now but saves fights later
[7] Every little decision, personal or professional should align with your ethics. Short-term gains aren’t worth long-term peace
Also ab main badi ho gayi hun, tameez se baat karna, jo mujse chhote hain aur haan, jo bade bolte hain wahi sahi hota hai 😅
