Holly Robinson Peete Instagram – I was so excited to visit the newly unveiled statue of the late great heroic John Lewis.🙏🏽He was one of my personal heroes and while I think we gave him many deserved flowers before he left us, the fact that we didn’t pass voting legislation in his name while he was still with us is an absolute travesty… that said that his image and likeness in the form of this breathtaking new statue now stands where there was once a tribute to the confederacy in front of a the Dekalb county courthouse -where undoubtedly MANY injustices were brought upon in blacks in Georgia…is a very good thing. (The marker, for the old statue is still there)
