I recently came across an article titled “Would You Date Yourself? A Lesson on Loving Yourself Before Others”—and it got me thinking.
We often create these detailed lists of what we want in a partner—kindness, ambition, emotional intelligence, stability. But how often do we pause and ask ourselves, “Am I a reflection of this list?”
Of course, there are moments when two people find themselves in difficult circumstances can grow together. But more often than not, if one person is doing the self-evaluation and growth while the other isn’t, it can lead to imbalance.
