Janet Mbugua Instagram – Sometimes we’re too early, and other times too late. Today, I had planned to join praying mothers in seeking counsel and healing for our country, which continues to witness gross human rights violations. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wait long enough for the group to arrive.
As seen in some clips shared online, police intolerance, unlawful arrests, and the people’s ongoing fight for justice remain evident. While it’s a relief that some (not all) abductees have been reunited with their families, the fact that they were abducted, detained for days, and released ahead of planned demonstrations—while police deny any involvement—is deeply troubling.
We carry on with life, but we must also keep amplifying these critical conversations whenever and wherever we can.
