Mum fit. I’ve set myself a goal this year to try and rediscover a sense of self. I flit from who I want to be, how I want to look on the daily – I am easily influenced by the creators I see and follow but on my 5 foot frame with a body that’s a completely different shape yo@the one I used to have, I rarely see what I want to in the mirror. So here I am. Tired from a week of a poorly boy with a big spot on my face (I’m in my 40s why?!) and a pulled abdominal muscle from new year, new you Pilates because I’m a child of a 80s and my only setting is go hard or go home. Be gentle with yourselves this January. It’s been a long month. I like this cardigan though.
If you are struggling in the newborn fog with a baby who wakes if your knee cracks or you even slightly move position and you feel completely overwhelmed, exhausted and like it will never get any easier. This is your beacon of hope that one day they might just fall asleep at Hot Wheels Monster Trucks – AKA the loudest place on earth.

This bank holiday weekend we were lucky enough to test out the brand new all electric Honda e:Ny1 We loaded up the boot with buggy, bags and baby stuff. Easily installed our car seat – which had loads of space for extended rear facing (a big plus in my book) and settled into the heated leather seats. As someone who has never driven an automatic, let an alone an electric car I was blown away by how smooth it felt – almost like flying! Super fun to drive and handled the corners and hills of The Great Orm beautifully. River was happy in the back and we were able to keep him entertained with the seamless car entrainment and Apple play made connecting my phone a breeze. As someone who liked tech there was lots of enjoy. Safety features galore and the 360 camera is a game changer! I can see why it’s a Which? best buy! All in all we loved zipping around in the Honda e:Ny1 a great looking family car packed with features and fun to drive. Going electric? @Hondaukcars you might just have convinced me. We stepped (or rather Wonderfold rolled) into a magical land called @justsofestival – this bonkers world of whimsy had us laughing and smiling all day. So many corners of discover and things to do in such beautiful surroundings and everyone was just having the best time! River cemented his love of live music and we even managed to get a few golden pebbles for our Team Fox – next time we will be better prepared! We met up with the lovely team at @wonderfold.uk and @babycentraluk and they kitted us out with their W2 Luxe Stroller Wagon. This is one serious bit of kit, all terrain wheels to take you anywhere, loads of storage, raised seating with 5 point harness so River can see and enough space for him to have a seriously good nap when the festival vibe got a bit tiring! We absolutely love going on adventures and festivals like Just So. It’s such a wonderful experience for us all and the Wobderfold W2 Luxe make for perfect partner. Ad
We’re currently in the ‘I’m a big boy and I want to walk everywhere but…my legs are still very little’ stage and just when I thought my back might not cope much longer this bad boy has rolled into our lives.
