Jill Marie Jones Instagram – Last night, I took a quick trip down memory lane… wanting to try to remember it all. Of course, I didn’t succeed but really truly wanted to try. Remembering my childhood friends, my first bicycle (it was purple with white tassels), my Barbie Townhouse that I wanted so badly… my Mom worked extra hours, that Christmas, so that I could have it.
Remembering… my first boyfriend, my first real kiss, my first love.
Remembering my first job… McDonalds (I was 13, just about to turn 14 and lied and said that I was 15 because I wanted a job so bad…Lol). I was on Drive Thru & Fries. I wanted to be on the grill SO BAD but they wouldn’t let me (at that time) because I was a girl.
Remembering all of my accomplishments that I’ve had to walk (barefoot) over hot coals, for me to achieve… because they were far from easy and nothing was ever given.
I look at these photos and I see innocence… but I also see an inquisitive young girl, who became a determined young woman, who then became a woman that is strong, independent, a fierce and fearless fighter. A hard worker. A seeker. A woman that doesn’t mind being unpopular… especially when “popular” is on the side of wrong and unkind. A woman who has gotten knocked down many times throughout these years and continually gets back up, dusts herself off and again… stands tall. A woman that is unapologetically who she is… and I AM SO PROUD OF HER!!! ✨✨✨
