Jo Frost Instagram – A survey has concluded that came from @netmums today that 50% yes 50% think it’s the teachers AND parents job to potty train their reception age children.
This is absolutely astounding news but I’m not professionally surprised because I do believe we are in a parenting crisis where many parents seem to have lost the memo regarding parental responsibilities these days.
Parenting has become so polarized leaving many confused, unconfident in their decisions and too many watch social media influencers who lack a lot of wisdom and too many ‘experts’ who claim to know only from their own experience and not a well rounded base of knowledge, practicality or in the field hands on experience and don’t get me started on the young digital creators who talk about parenting who clearly have cribbed info and are as old as some of my lipsticks!
Let me put the record straight it is YOUR responsibility,YOUR child that you have the honor of raising.
It takes a village is NOT I will sit on my back side and give over my parental duties.
Now SENDS children were exempt from the post as many parents are challenged with the developmental difficulties but again I know of many parents with SENDS children that have done a fantastic job at potty training.
The bigger issue at play here is the lack of concern parents seem to feel around being proactive towards helping their children accomplish their milestones.
Some schools are now asking parents to come in and change their own child, I would expect there will be an influx of potty trained toddlers within the next week just like there were veggie eating toddlers once again through the food shortage during covid!
Anyways look success is all in a parents attitude, looking for the signs and acting on them, not giving up and getting rid of those God dam pull ups that confuse the hell out of children. You’re either in or out them.
I’ve trained hundreds and hundreds of children successfully and in 1 week, twins, triplets, you name it, so if they are ready let’s go!
Help your little ones, that’s your role parents and mine is to help you!
