Katrina Dovey Instagram – Day 2 of my Australia travels began with a moment of calm. I greeted my first sunrise in Sydney, watching as golden light slowly filled the horizon, waking the city from its slumber.
The air was crisp, and for a few minutes, everything felt still as the world transformed around me.
With my bags packed, George, Corie, and I left the city behind and headed to the farm—a new adventure waiting!
As soon as we arrived, we jumped straight into work, tending to the most adorable lambs. Vaccinating them was no easy task, and by the end of the day, I was drenched but exhilarated.
There’s something deeply satisfying about being in the open air, working with animals, and immersing yourself in the rhythm of farm life.
Merryville couldn’t have been more inviting. The rooms were warm and cozy, the kind of place that makes you feel at home immediately.
And as if the day couldn’t get better, George took us to greet the horses—a personal highlight for me. There’s something special about being around horses, their gentle presence always brings a sense of calm.
