Travelling solo is both a challenge and an adventure. A luxurious dare I relish and which takes me back to who I am away from work and motherhood and my beloved London. Colours and conversations with strangers intensify and l take nothing for granted. Yes, I read and run (still like crazy) , write and shoot, but not in the way I used to as if I was racing time itself. In truth, the revelation for me is in the attempt to rest and be present in the quiet and the beauty and the magical thinking. Just to hike and bask in the hot pink halo of a show off riviera sunset & get dressed up for the pure joy of wearing snow white Chanel in a convent on a saturday night… A slow dance with imaginary angels.
