beware long caption (it takes 2 mins to read lol) This year went completely different from how I had expected in the best way possible. So many aspects of my life changed and grew in ways that were scary initially or intimidating, but all started flourishing into incredible opportunities. At the beginning of this year, I was unhappy with my career and felt like I had gotten stuck in a routine that wasn’t getting me to the places I wanted to be. I felt like I had been trying to plan for everything but the results weren’t always what I had hoped for, when I always believed I was taking the right steps. I wrote a song with @michaelkamerman that was a BIG sign for myself, but I didn’t even realize it in the moment. We wrote a song about going through life trying to predict every single outcome and avoid any potential downfall, but recognizing that you can’t control your environment, you can only control your own choices and actions. A lot of things changed this year, and I had the opportunity to completely take the reins in my life and career, and make those choices and take those actions with full responsibility. I took a lot of risks that worked out for the better, I met incredible people, and learned so much about myself within a few months. Letting go of your expectations and sometimes just doing things for the hell of it is absolutely terrifying to my control-freak mentality, but it felt so fulfilling and exciting in a way I haven’t felt in a while. Long story still long, I am so freaking excited for 2025 because I’m going in with no expectations or predictions, only goals for my actions and choices, and the confidence that I’ll choose the opportunities that are the most fulfilling in that moment and will lead to a happy year for myself. In other words, I have no fucking clue when it’ll rain, I’m not a weatherman, but I can’t wait to dance in it when it does 🙂 this is one of my favorite songs I’ve released and it means so much to me, i hope you like it and have a great holiday🧡
