Meghan Tonjes Instagram – as I’m downloading my favorite TikTok recipes and the little bits and bobs I’ve saved over the years (always with the intention to one day go back and actually see what I gathered), I’m reminded of how we do ourselves a disservice by ever believing anything will always be there – waiting for us to finally engage with it.
If there’s something you resonate with, start writing it down in your journal and using it as a prompt to understanding yourself better. If there’s a recipe you want to try one day, do it sooner than later (and put that recipe somewhere you can access it regardless of what app or platform shuts down).
I’m trying to be better at these things.
There will be places, and seasons, you love that you can never go back again. And when you do, you will be too different to sit comfortably. I’m sorry to all of my friends (creatives or not) who are experiencing a season of displacement.
the message I’ve been getting HEAVY for the past few years is that anything not in your hands can be out of it just as quickly. We all, at some point, are going to be asked…when you can’t take it all, what do you take with you?
