My friend dm’d me to ‘use my poles’. What do those things even do?? (Seriously, what do they do?) 😂

When it’s obvious that your friend is a damn good director 🪄 Love this frame by @violeta_tseli 📸 “Faded I’m sure, but love seems to stick in her veins you know. Yes, there’s love if you want it. Don’t sound like no sonnet…”
New cuddles #goodmorning The thing is… a lot of people are so incredibly exhausted by the constant crisis. Crises on the planet, crises between nations, crises between genders, crises within families, crises in everyday life, crises in morality… it makes you want to zone out and drown out your own thoughts, it’s too much, too often. And while I wouldn’t go so far as to say we should abandon getting informed, I would say that it is worth remembering that there are more ways to get informed about the world than just this onslaught of internet memes and small snippets of videos that never give us the full picture. I would say that we should remember to visit bookstores, there is information in there too, by accomplished and disciplined minds that we can be inspired by. And I would say that we should browse music playlists, there are experiences on there that can change or comfort us. And I would say that we should go for no-destination walks, alone, because it might help us to hear our own voices again. (Fair warning: it’s uncomfortable at first! But utterly worth it) And I would say that we should find a couple of activities, with a couple of loved ones, that make us feel good, that are not transactional, that are not for show, that help us find a small semblance of Hope. Because, man, it is hard to come by lately. So find your own voice, if it’s quiet, if it’s loud, doesn’t matter just find it and hold on to it. And don’t worry too much about what everyone else thinks, your true people will hear you. Goodmorning xxx

I think we’ve been friends since before Christ was born.

Time stops up here. Your cheeks get rosy, your eyes wipe clear, there are 6 residents, I haven’t seen them this year, the cold bites your bones, but the sun sets so close, so near, you push through the wind, but the mountains roll, there is no edge, my grandpa calls me through the air, I miss him, I tell him “it’s too quiet I fear”, he says “no it isnt, listen better, don’t forget how to hear”. #myvillage #themountainsofArcadia

Christmas magic 💕
