Odette Annable Instagram – I ♥️ LA. I’ve been sitting in the quiet of what happens after a devastation. Thinking of the words that could describe how I am feeling for the city that I love. I am a born and raised Southern California girl. I moved to Los Angeles when I was 19 years old and spent nearly 20 years living in the heart of Hollywood. My dreams came true there. LA introduced me to my career, my husband, my best friends, and my daughter (almost in the car on Beverly Blvd.). I spent my most formative years in Los Angeles. I experienced it all and LOVED it. I am eternally grateful for all that the city gave me, and I know it won’t be the last time I find myself nestled in one of her bungalows dreaming away again, but right now she needs a lot of love. My heart is shattered for my dear friends who have lost it all and for the countless that I don’t know who have, too, lost it all and are struggling to make sense of any of it. For the people who died fighting for their homes, or the elderly that couldn’t make it out in time. For the pets and wildlife lost without their home. For all of the families who have worked so hard to watch their memories turn to ash. I see you, and I am so very sorry. While it pains me to watch from afar and not be in it with you, it has been incredibly moving to watch humanity come together and show up the way you all have. And my God to the HEROES, the firefighters, working their asses off… I bow down.
