Samruddhi Jadhav Instagram – One of my best memories of 2024 was celebrating my 25th birthday—an experience that completely changed how I feel about birthdays. To be honest, I’ve never been much of a birthday person. I never understood why we celebrate getting older. But this year, everything shifted.
My friends had secretly planned a surprise trip to Dubai for months leading up to my birthday, and when the day came, they made it so incredibly special. It was a true testament to the saying, “If they wanted to, they would.” Every single day of that trip was thoughtfully planned and full of surprises—jet skiing, a thrilling desert safari, and even a beautifully decorated yacht for the main celebration. Seeing their efforts and love literally made my heart overflow with gratitude.
Not only did they go all out with the experiences, but they also surprised me with such thoughtful and meaningful gifts. I’ll admit, I couldn’t stop crying at how much love I felt in those moments. From Vipul, my best friend of over 8 years, flying all the way to London to surprise me first, to Sophie—who lives with me—managing to keep the whole trip a secret, to Wajid and Salma joining us in Dubai… everything felt like a dream I never wanted to wake up from.
It took me forever to edit the video from this trip because I wanted to include every single moment that made it magical. Even with my busy schedule, I couldn’t rush it—I needed to do justice to these memories.
As I reflect on it all, I’m overwhelmed by one thought: “What have I done to deserve such beautiful people in my life?” This birthday wasn’t just a celebration of turning 25; it was a reminder of the love, kindness, and effort that my friends poured into making me feel special.
