Shenae Grimes-Beech Instagram – I did a thing and I’ve kept it in the shadows because that’s where it’s felt safest to vulnerably ruminate over my own shadows. It’s been an iykyk kinda thing — and if the algorithm has anything to do with it, I’m sure that’s how it will remain after this post 😝 — BUT I’ll shoot my shot and share it anyway.
I’m trying a few new things on for size this year:
1) Choosing “happy” (as a lifelong pessimist) — a journey, no doubt but practice makes progress, right? COMMENT ‘HAPPY’ to read/listen to the full post this teaser’s pulled from!
2) Shamelessly promoting the things I spend an obscene amount of time working on and obsessing over like this new Substack newsletter— the women I admire most aren’t “cringe” to me when they celebrate themselves and shout about the things they bust ass working on from the rooftops so why do I feel so cringe doing it for myself? That’s sooo 2024 😝
3) Believing in myself enough to invest in myself, my ideas and my businesses
4) Valuing my work enough to invite others to invest in me, my ideas and my businesses
And the list goes on but for this post and for right now, I’ll leave it here…
