A sub-adult tiger is a tiger that is between the ages of 2 and 3 years old. Tigers are categorized into six age groups based on their age and characteristics:
Cubs: Less than 12 months old
Juveniles: 1–2 years old
Sub-adults: 2–3 years old
Young-adults: 3–5 years old
Prime-adults: 5–10 years old
