Swara Bhaskar Instagram – A sad week for India where multiple icons have passed on. The demise of Shyam Benegal sir has left Indian Cinema with a loss that will be felt for long. What an iconic and legendary maker! A man who often made films on govt. funding yet never shied away from showing social reality as it was or making a powerful critique of society and politics. Working with you is one of the proudest moments of my career. Goodbye Shyam sir. I will always cherish the memory of you scolding me into correct pronunciation, refusing to let me use the teleprompter(!), redoing takes till it was all perfect, correcting the Urdu spelling of background posters and art.. and so much more. I will always be grateful that you gave me the opportunity to be part of one of the most special and relevant series Indian TV has produced. Rest in peace! 🙏🏽✨💙 #Samvidhaan
