About the CITY OF HOPE Exhibit: The U.S. Consulate General Chennai is bringing “The City of Hope,”exhibition to Chennai in partnership with the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, and Meridian International Center. The exhibition showcasing Mahatma Gandhi’s influence on civil rights in the United States and India’s influence on Martin Luther King Jr.’s daring vision for economic justice and human rights worldwide will be on at ACL between Martin Luther King Day on January 20 and the day of Mahatma Gandhi’s Martyrdom on January 30.
