#diwali haaha.. Our kids tease me that my #reel songs are usually way too literal and cringe so I hope this is approved. It’s apparently #trending (I googled ‘what tracks are trending on insta?’ 🤣Yep sharing my clearly not very savvy posting strategies haaha!) Thanks @teddysphotos #afterglow for coming to the rescue!
How do you choose reel tracks?
#Teens know exactly what songs are cool, not that they post on insta yet, but somehow they just know. Guess it’s an age thing. Hey we are far from old. We’re young parents of #teenagers and I pride myself on being pretty cool, or so I think but this posting strategy clearly sets me back but this song seemed good for this what say?
Somehow @roopaksaluja gets less ‘you’re cringe’ comments than moi! Maybe as he hardly posts!
Please send me names of trending tracks so for my subsequent reels, I avoid being too literal & cringe!
Any other parents of teens relate to being called cringe regularly? And are you taking any steps to un-cringe yourselves? I wax eloquent on how cool our gen is btw!
PS This is ofcourse all in jest. We adore our kids and vice versa (though verbal admission is less frequent than my constant reiteration, yep I say #iloveyou to our kids at least 3 times a day. Happened naturally at first, bedtime etc, any calls, then habit, now just part of me. They sometimes reciprocate & sometimes teen silence but I did read somewhere that it’s good & important to keep saying anyway.
No idea why I have digressed from my #throwbackthursday picture post to this analysis on #parenting teens, but it truly is a huge learning experience as is each phase of life I guess.
#thetarasharmashow was born out of my #blog #diary as a new mum so I guess it is natural it evolves as we grow, the kids and us. And writing is at it’s core hence apologies for my rambles.
