It’s also about embracing and celebrating the richness of our culture and reflecting on how far we’ve come. My great-grandmother picked cotton, and to see the evolution from her sacrifices to where we are now is truly powerful. Of course, there’s still more to do, but when we look at Dr. King’s work, it’s a reminder of the progress we’ve made and the path forward.
