Taiwan is known for its themed restaurants – they have one dedicated to HELLO KITTY TOO!
But this for sure has to be one of the WIERDEST things I’ve done in a while. THIS experience was less about the food, but more about the crazy amusement of it all. I never been to a restaurant which makes me go through soo many emotions at once. From feeling absurd, to funny, to being slightly disgusted – It was worth it!
Not just the food but EVERYTHING here is toilet-themed. It’s fully decked out like a bathroom. From checkered tile covered walls, shower heads hanging around, and chairs that are, yep, actual toilets – they have nailed it all.
I mean, who would’ve thought I’d be munching on my meal from plastic toilet bowls and sipping drinks from miniature urinals? And to top it off, they even served complimentary poop-shaped ice cream.
I was very curious about the History of this restaurant so I did some research and what I found made me roll on the floor 🤣 The idea sprung from a cartoon character named Dr. Slump, who “played with poop and swirled it with a stick” 😶💩
Inspired by this quirky character, the modern toilet restaurant was born.
