Following a rip-roaring success on More4 last October, series 1 of the hit show is being repeated on Channel 4.
If you haven’t seen it already, this beautiful and warm-hearted series follows Amanda Owen and her family as renovations get underway at their 200 year-old derelict farmhouse, which as a grade II listed building comes with a significant number of restoration requirements and challenges.
The unpredictable weather doesn’t help matters, but with a dedicated and talented team of builders, the transformation takes shape and Amanda discovers some fascinating insights into the social history of the house and the people who originally lived here two centuries ago.
Series 2 is already in the pipeline and we can’t wait to share this first run with a whole new audience. Our Farm Next Door starts this Saturday at 7.10pm on Channel 4. It’s the Observer’s pick of the day.
