Beth Behrs Instagram – The Kalisher family lost everything yesterday in the Altadena fires in Los Angeles. @alishakalisher has been my best friend since we met at @ucla theater camp at 15, then we’re roommates @ucla , maid of honors in each other’s weddings. She is my sister. And my heart is broken for her family. Incredible parents of 3-year-old Carmen, Dan and Alisha Kalisher lost their home, car, and livelihood. Dan, a professional musician, lost the studio and equipment he’d worked years to build, and the many precious instruments. Carmen, their 3-year-old’s preschool burnt down, as well as her favorite parks, hikes, and local playgrounds. Alisha had just completed her master’s degree in expressive arts therapy and lost all her art therapy supplies, journals, academic notes, and years of higher education study books. It’s heart-wrenching to me, most especially when those who dedicate their lives to helping others lose everything themselves in such a traumatic way. They are currently housed with family but will need to rebuild their lives again.
