Chandni Bhabhda Instagram – “Growing up, I was bullied—not just by classmates but by teachers as well. I never quite fit in, and mimicry became my way of coping, though I was constantly criticized for it. Things escalated when I mimicked a teacher, turning into a huge issue that pushed me into depression. I felt lost, crying for hours without knowing why. No matter how much I tried to follow advice—keeping a routine, working out, eating well—I still felt empty.

My mom recognized my struggles before I did and took me to a psychiatrist in tenth grade. Seeking professional help was a huge step, but it helped me pull myself out of that dark place. I’m forever grateful for that support, and I want to break the stigma around mental health. People talk about therapy, but seeing a psychiatrist is rarely discussed. Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet it’s often overlooked.

Through it all, my mom has been my rock—always supportive, always understanding. Our open, judgment-free relationship has made it easy for me to share everything with her. If she had been judgmental, I don’t know if I could have been this open. Her unconditional support has made all the difference.”
