Christine Lakin Instagram – A snapshot of what the last 5 days have felt like. Tragic loss for so many folks we know and so many others. Abject anxiety followed by momentary relief and a meal at a neighbors house and then new panic at another fire, another tragedy. Constant fire app watch. Checking on friends. Sleepless nights. Crying in bathrooms and presenting normalcy for our kids. Packing and repacking a dozen times. We pray the worst is over but we stay prepared for anything. And we are the lucky ones.
Thank you for the love and for those of you who have checked in on us, cooked for us while we had no power, gave deep hugs and prayed for us and for so many others. I can’t accurately put into words how devastating this feels.
