Swimming her way to records, Daisy Ridley @daisyridley captures the essence of legend Trudy Ederle in Young Woman and the Sea. The film traces the impossible story of the first woman to ever cross the English Channel, and what it took to achieve such a thing in a male-dominated discipline in the late 1920s. Ridley not only trained intensively and swam for six months straight, but she was also an executive producer on the film. The British actress continued on that path when she co-signed the production of her newest film Magpie, a gripping thriller she imagined with her partner Tom Bateman. In our next cover story from the HIGH ROMANCE FW24 issue, we caught up with Daisy and delved into the intricacies of the strong female lead roles she played in both films.
