By sheer chance I found you. It was fate, destiny. For some reason I stepped out that day, there was no need for me to, as everything was shut, it was a holiday, but something pulled me out. I turned to walk back, and I see you screaming as crows attacked you. I grabbed you, your frail body, and whisked you upstairs. Filthy, covered in blood and fleas, I shouted for my best friend Liza. She rushed round and helped me pick off the fleas that ravaged your tiny body. The vets didn’t think you’d make it. But you did.
From the start, you were a fighter. You were patient with Simba until he adopted you as his own and I restarted the process to get you to London. We left India, the three of us in September, a one-way ticket for London. You weren’t scared of Princess; you weren’t too fussed about Lucky, but you became Sidney’s side kick. Fearless and inquisitive, nothing phased you. When workmen came to the house you sat with them and watched them work. You loved children, would watch them play with their toys. You were obsessed with yum yums from Marks and Spencer, French toast, and French baguette. You were so funny, bold, and loud. You made your presence known. Your favourite spot was my lap or in between Alex’ legs. I know you were sad when Sidney passed. You took on his role as the bully and became Lou’s new arch nemesis. Mischief and Sweep were soon added to your list. You were King of the 11. When I brought the 7 over you would push them out the way except Disney who you had a soft spot for. But no one could be next to me if you were on my lap. You had the most expensive taste; you were wrapped all the time in my Hermes scarf. A very vocal cat that demanded the water from the tap run at a certain flow. Not too fast and not too slow. We had a scare last year when we caught meningitis and a neurological issue early.
