Gina Carano Instagram – I had the pleasure of attending the Golden Gala in Reno, NV this past weekend to raise funds for the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation (NNCCF) @nvkidscancer . It was an evening of education, mourning but celebration of coming together to battle and push forward in helping the ones struggling with cancer and their families. We are moving forward letting them know they are not alone.
We lost my cousin Alyssa last year to aggressive cancer that ravaged her body but not her spirit, she was by far the best of us. She posted Bible verses and shared her cancer journey very open and honestly. I miss her posts daily. She set the bar for bravery and strength when one is approaching the end of her young 30 years of life.
She would be so proud and I am sure is most definitely smiling down from heaven from the way people showed up and supported this event. She was an elementary school teacher with a heart of gold for children. Well done to all who attended and participated in the Golden Gala this weekend. Thank you from my heart to yours.
To the people who so generously bid on dinner with me, my heart is so full and shocked. Thank you for your generous donations! I look forward to our dinners, come laughs or cries, it will be memorable. ✨
