I laughed my ass off! And then texted back, ‘We ain’t that fuckin broke!’
In between bouts of crying, remembering a precious item that is now lost for ever, crying some more, remembering my last birthday party thrown at our house & my heart stopping for a second, then crying again, missing the view of Los Angeles from my deck, where I used to sit with a blanket in the middle of the night after everyone had gone to bed, there is the joy in having wonderful friends who have enveloped me & the Ninja in love, support, & humour.
We’re heartbroken, but hopeful that this is happening for a reason & that we will come out the other side cleansed & renewed. Rising from the ashes like a fuckin PHOENIX!
We’ll see. In the meantime, I will try to keep laughing, keep sadness at bay, and just keep moving forward
