I’ve been seeing a lot of comments like this lately (mostly on that intoxicating fever dream of lawless wonder, TikTok). I used to feel slightly embarrassed when people said they “used” to watch my content. Like I was past my prime. A cheugy old millennial. Remember cheugy?! For the love of god can someone take away her WiFi and her extremely limited Final Cut skills already?? Oh no, she got a CapCut subscription? FUCK.
All those itchy feelings are my own projections of insecurity because this big doofy internet machine can make you feel like you’re not enough unless you’re constantly feeding their pReCiOuS aLgOs.

These comments mean so much to me now. They make me feel that sweet tinge of nostalgia about the “good ol days” of content creation, or whatever you wanna call it. Look how far we’ve come. We’ve all been hanging out here for a while now. A REALLY LONG TIME, Y’ALL. It’d be psychotic if it wasn’t so sweet. This place is way bigger and weirder than it used to be. It’s excellent when we get a chance to run into each other again. 🙃
