As the Zionist Occupation continues its massacres in Palestine, it’s impossible to ignore the destruction caused on every level—especially the ecological toll. The colonization and theft of Palestinian land has devastating consequences. There’s so much to address: targeting renewable energy plants in Palestine and Lebanon, destroying forests and agricultural land, indiscriminate bombings in Gaza, wiping out villages in Lebanon, the massive CO2 footprint from weapons imports/exports between the US and Europe, stealing water, polluting Palestinian areas with nuclear waste, and destroying ecosystems by replacing vital native olive trees with European pine trees… the list still goes on!
And yet, the Occupation promotes itself as “eco-friendly”, with full support from Europ and the US. These so-called “Western civilized” countries also present themselves as “green”, all while exploiting people and land in the Global South, exporting weapons worldwide, and sponsoring genocide and the ongoing occupation of Palestine.
The fight for Palestine is a fight for our collective liberation.
Climate justice isn’t just about protecting the climate and achieving zero emissions. It’s about stopping the exploitation of both the land and its indigenous people.
From Congo to Sudan to Palestine, there can be no climate justice on stolen land!
