Then there’s our country. So many people voted for this insane man. I took a break from social media feeling overwhelmed and alone in my heartbreak. Then I got this text from my Aunt and honestly really needed it. I don’t feel seen right now hearing ‘it’ll be okay it’s just 4 years don’t worry’. I feel seen when an ally is angry for me. With me. And is willing to share it loudly for the people in the back. You are not alone with your fears and worries. We have every right to be scared. But that’s what they want. They want fear, they want chaos, they want control. To my lgbtqia community, we will not be silenced. We will be with you every step of the way fighting by your side. Together. Protect your peace, take a break from social media. Connect with people in your community. Do things that bring you joy. Invest your time growing your support system.
