Jaime Murray Instagram – Deep in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon, the Nomanawa Village of the Noke Koi Tribe are proud guardians of the last standing Rainforest. The people of the Aldeia Nomanawa face unprecedented challenges that threatens their well-being and survival. Environmental pressures, extractive capitalism, aging infrastructure and limited resources are slowly eroding the physical and cultural foundation of this remarkable community.
The Noke Koi tribe, known as the “True People of the Amazon Rainforest,” have resiliently defended their territories while safeguarded their culture and ancient wisdom for millennia.
It is our mission to support and empower these original guardians of the Amazon by addressing the urgent housing crisis of the entire Nomanawa community.
