Julie Nolke Instagram – What you saw VS what was happening.
I like to keep my personal life offline so it’s unlikely that you knew that the day of my “big” show (while I was doing the tech dress rehearsal) my son was admitted into the hospital due to a few nasty viruses. He’s much better now and I somehow managed the show thanks to my husband, mom, mother in law and friends that all stepped up, made hospital runs, calmed me down and brought me coffee while I sobbed back stage. Also it didn’t hurt that I had the most incredible audiences a girl could ask for. Immediately after the show I packed up and bolted to the hospital to spend several nights with my sick boy.
I’m telling you this now because as I reflect on the year and all of our many highlight reels I feel the need to be transparent and show something real of mine. Also, as strange as it sounds, I look back at this night with a lot of pride. I felt like I made the impossible possible and while it was definitely not how I drew it up, I did it all the same.
Anyway, moral of the story is life is messy I guess? Wishing you all an incredible 2025 but also, it’s not all gonna be perfect so keep the bar low. | Posted on 05/Jan/2025 08:30:53
