Years ago, I read about the Mahakumbh—probably saw some photos and videos online—and wondered, “Why would I ever go there?” 😦
The sheer magnitude, the sea of people, the chaos… it felt overwhelming, almost unimaginable. 😩
And yet, here I am, standing amidst it all, realizing that some experiences aren’t meant to be understood from afar—they’re meant to be lived, felt, and completely surrendered to.😇
I travel to see things as they are. Of course, I want to experience the world’s great wonders—the ones on everyone’s bucket list—I LOVE THAT! 😌 But there’s something else, something deeper about watching people go about their everyday lives, and being able to speak with them, know them a little, and understand the world better. 🌍
But I will not deny it. Sometimes, it’s inconvenient. 🥲The crowds, the exhaustion, the unpredictability of it all. 😖But more often than not, I find myself pausing, taking it all in, and thinking, “Ahhh, I didn’t know that. And now I do. Lesson learnt, and I’m glad—I get to see this through a different lens, a different perspective now.”
Travel is all about learning to change your perspective for the better. And Im so happy, I could visit the Kumbh Mela this year to witness everything firsthand. 🙏🏼 GRATITUDE ONLY!!!🙏🏼🤩🥹
