Maria Grazia Chiuri Instagram – “En Route” was an opportunity to collaborate with @karishmaswali77 and @chanakya.school who visually reconstructed the cultural legacy of these six extraordinary women.
The stories and trajectories of the travelers offer the possibility of tracing alternative routes and imaginary cartographies where garments, fabrics,
and embroidery techniques are devices of geographical knowledge and identity construction.
“En Route” is a conceptual, artistic, and visual journey that highlights the unexpected connections between the historic craftsmanship of geographically distant communities. This project is a celebration of
community work, which is the foundation of craft, characterized by sharing, strengthening the sense of community through the transmission
of knowledge, with the awareness of being a small part of an incredible process.
