Minnie Driver Instagram – We dread this and here it is. There are plenty of monsters in LA, Earthquake, flood, mudslides and some people , but this particular one feels like it eats you. I spent a long night watching my friends homes burn; old Malibu businesses and restaurants – the last vestiges of a town that developers have mostly bulldozed – just incinerated . Are we crazy to live here ? I’m in for 27 years and the place has my heart , the pull of the city and the greater one from the Pacific, have always won over the madness of living on unstable tectonic plates in a wind blown fire trap with not enough water. I don’t want to leave. I pray there’s enough left behind . Sending all my love today, praying the vicious wind dies down , beyond grateful for the heroism of @losangelesfiredepartment and all the first responders.
