This is just such a sweet memory because things were so much simpler then. This wasn’t a mom who went viral to get the attention of the radio station. It was a simple and kind gesture on all parts with no ask for praise. What a memory and experience for this 12 year old girl!! 😭🥹 Best Mama award @laurettespangmccook @jojowright @1027kiisfm @randyjackson @americanidol
💌 It’s impossible to wrap my head around what has happened to my beautiful hometown of Los Angeles. The layers of emotion that I’ve felt in the long days that consisted only of breaking news coverage and texting family and friends to check on their safety. The sadness of friends friends of friends losing everything. The amount of fear that ripped through me as I stood in my driveway and watched the flames come over the hills. The guilt because my house still stands. I pledge to continue to do what I can to help those who are suffering. To help this city I love so deeply that when I’m away, I long for it. And pass along ways to help to anyone who will listen. But there is beauty. And that beauty is that I have never seen such unbelievable support and community. The way people have thrown themselves into helping so many. And the drive to continue to do so. Donations, volunteering, childcare, pet support, organizing, company give back, facilitating ideas, etc. So for now, I just say… I love you L.A. and I’m here for you now and always ❤️🩹🪽
