I had the esteemed honor of visiting Coleman Federal Prison w/ @brittanykbarnett My Sister – Friend & incredible lawyer as well as The Torres Brothers, Jorge & Victor. We all poured into these men as we shared both laughter and tears! This has been a burning passion of mine & I found myself in awe at the strength of many of these incarcerated men…..
Jorge and Victor were just 29 and 25 when they were sentenced to life in 1987 under the infamous CCE kingpin statute. But even in the darkest moments, they refused to be defeated. They earned college degrees, mentored so many men inside, and never lost hope. After surviving over 33 years in prison, they finally walked free because Brittany became their lawyer and fought for them like only she can. Their story is proof that redemption is real, and freedom is always worth fighting for. @bkblawfirm
