Nadia Jamil Instagram – This wasn’t planned. It was a spontaneous initiative. Huma Safdar picked the first piece of trash and we all followed. Thank you to my amazing niece and son for accompanying me to the Ravi River today.
It was heartbreaking. Almost like visiting our beloved Ravis grave. Thank you to everyone who helped clean a small part o the bank up. It was a token gesture but a powerful one. I hope @govtofpunjabpk @maryamnawazofficial @shehbazsharif @phdec.pk @walledcitylahoreauthority can work with @ravibachaotehreek & @abuzarmadhu to find solutions to clean up the banks and our Bara Dari and protect it from further toxic chemicals and waste. This was not water in the Ravi bed, IT WAS POISON.
