In Thai temples, guardians and devas are known as spiritual protectors of the temples:

Guardians: Statues of sacred protectors typically placed at the temple entrances. These statues usually hold weapons such as spears or swords, symbolizing power and the protection of the temple from negative forces and evil spirits.

Devas: Spiritual beings and protectors, recognized in Hindu and Buddhist traditions as high-ranking, divine entities. These devas may hold special objects in their hands and represent power and spiritual energy.

These statues are placed in temples to safeguard the sacred space and prevent the entry of negative or evil forces.
