Sarah Lian Instagram – Over the weekend, I said goodbye to my first car. With all the moving back and forth over 4 cities between Vancouver, Toronto, HK and KL, I was 30 when I finally decided to settle down in Malaysia and I bought my very first car.
It was a little emotional for me cuz I’ve had this car for 9 years and it was a symbol of my independence and freedom. Parting ways with my first car feels like the end of an era. So many memories, road trips, late-night drives, long distance recces for @supparetreat and quiet moments spent together. I was usually the designated driver among my friends and would do lots of pickups for my car-less friends. (Pay-it-forward for all the times my guy friends would give me rides)
Turning a new chapter now, and thanking Henry (yes I named him after my dad’s unused English name) for all the kms we spent together. ❤️
