Nobody makes art to win awards, but it was very humbling and nice to be recognized by my peers. Especially on this, the first record I self-produced. And to be in such epic company with the other nominees. I am a genuine fan of every person I was nominated with.
Getting to play keys (lol) this year was so fun and I got to hang with some people I already knew and loved and get closer to new folks I really admire in support of our community. @sherylcrow, @dawestheband, @johnlegend, @bradpaisley & @blackfootwhitefoot
Sitting next to Kim Gordon to watch the actual ceremony was everything. She will always be the coolest.
I stood up on my fucking chair for @doechii. That whole performance was perfection. I saw Beyoncé IRL. What else? “Birds of a feather” makes me cry. @billieeilish @finneas
I loved @chappellroan’s “my little pony” fever dream come to life. I tried to do a cool move for the e! shot but I was a little stoned and the camera moves fast and like an alien arm.
