🎵 To mark the centenary of Shchedryk’s (Carol of the Bells‘) world tour, the iconic melody was performed at 50 locations across 17 countries.
Vera Farmiga @verafarmiga and Barbra Streisand @barbrastreisand helped us share the story of this renowned carol. Special thanks to the project’s musical director, Jerry Heil @thejerryheil, as well as to every performer and location that contributed to the creation of the video.
🌎 A century ago, the Ukrainian National Choir went on a tour across 17 countries in Europe and the Americas, introducing Shchedryk (Carol of the Bells) to the world. Since then, the carol has received over 1,000 adaptations, and became a universal symbol of Christmas.
We reached out to 50 locations in 17 countries — places where Shchedryk was first heard a century ago — and invited them to perform this legendary carol.
