Curry chickpeas w/ boiled dumplings 🌱
Doing the best with what we have. Food is very weird these days!!! Here’s another 🌱 based recipe that’s fairly SIMPLE , very NUTRITIOUS, FILLING and absolutely DELICIOUS !!
Ingredients:
Chickpeas
Green peas
Red potatoes
Curry powder
Garlic
Yellow onions
Turmeric powder
All purpose flour (unbleached)
Spelt flour
Fresh ginger
S & P
Olive oil
Preparation for curry
Burn the curry powder ( cook it in the oil to release flavor)
When it turns a bit dark add onions cook until they’re translucent. Then add garlic and ginger ( I added the ginger late because I forgot 😂)
Cook until softened.
Add chickpeas and cook them until semi tender.
Add potatoes when they’re soft add greens peas.
The sauce should be thick and rich.
Preparation for dumplings
Combine the two flours (use more spelt ) add a couple of teaspoons of water just enough to moisten.
Kneed the dough (not too long if you want them pillowy)
Boil for about 10 minutes
