Our host @marvasmalls brought together an incredible group of people around the table that are all excellence personified and it was an honor to cook for them (during Black History Month no less).
Sharing space with the chefs from all the teams, working collaboratively and seeing how much we all have in common was a joy. A special THANK YOU to @lana_cooks for coming straight from the airport to be there with me making sure things went smoothly, @jbfizabela for running the evening so well, and the great students from @iceculinary Abe, Nyaira, and Marven who came with open minds and good vibes to assist and soak up the experience.
***For those of you who voted in the outfit poll, I went with Option 3 – the blue work jacket look for prep and set up, then did a costume change for service into Option 1 – the classic, crisp white jacket and apron! It felt right and was perfect for the situation.
